an ongoing archive of all my past projects and work

hey everyone! here's my final project I created for my visual structure class. the assignment was to read a book and create something significant from the story using various visual cues to give life and meaning to your piece. I read The Wizard of Earthsea and was immediately drawn to the main character's crazy witch aunt who only appeared for like 3 pages. So I decided to create a very rough real-time composition of the hut she would live in.

While I made this during my first term of learning unreal, I'm pretty proud of the feeling and mood I was able to capture in my scene. This was just the beginning for my unreal journey 🚀 more to come soon.

Hey all! It's the last couple weeks of the term so I've been super busy recently, but I thought I would share this level design master study I created in term 4. I chose to recreate the Vale of Tears area from Alice: Madness Returns.

The goal was to recreate the playable space of the level within Unreal Engine. While the scene is full of super primitive shapes, I feel like I was able to capture the feeling and path of the game.

happy friday everyone! I thought I would end the week with some fun animations I did for my character animation class from term 4!

(1) sleepy digital fox was animated after some footage while the ball bounce studies were focused on bringing character and life to the object. (2) this project was based on bringing a character as basic as a sphere to life. (3) this project was focused on creating realistic feeling physics while giving still giving the sphere character and personality. I've said it before and I'll say it again, animators have an insane level of patience I can only hope to achieve in my lifetime. hope you all have a great weekend!
