Hey everyone! I'm really excited to share my VFX for Games final project with you. Not only am I stoked with how it came out, but so was my instructor and I won "best of term" in my class! :D While this is just a quick rendered video of my project, this is a fully-functioning, real-time portal in unreal engine. Definitely had a ton of fun with this class!

Up until now, VFX has been sliders doing things that are vaguely described, having to wait 2-10 minutes for a render to see what you did and if it was what you wanted. NOW. holy sh!t. All I can say is that real-time VFX in the unreal engine is not only fast and user intuitive but absolutely a blast. So here are a few projects I worked on for my VFX for Games class this term: sparks, fire, and rain / atmosphere. Such a fun class, stay tuned for more!
The last of my AVFX2 projects from last term! I definitely enjoyed MASH, given that my entire final was done with it lol. Playing around with the cloth sim proved to be pretty fun too. All in all, this class was pretty awesome! 😊
